From Pastor Simon´s Thank you and "på gensyn" speech on June 25, 2023:

"... Thank you for trusting me to be your pastor here in Toronto! 

The list of things we have created together is almost endless! Cut to the bone, what matters and stands out is the fellowship with those I have met here in the church and the Danish community in Toronto and Canada. 

We have celebrated Sunday Services together, sharing joyful life events as baptism, confirmation and weddings,  or the heavy ones with loss and doubt at memorials. 

Networking and work fellowship have been a blessing, and I have learned so much! 

I wish all the best and God’s blessings for this church and community - please receive the incoming pastor with the same warmth and love with which you received me. 

Thank you to the board! Thank you to the church musicians. Thank you to my friends at the Danish consulate and embassy, the DCCC and Stambord and thank you to the friends Sunset Mindepark, Sunset Villa, The Danish Club in Ottawa and Grimsby. And thank you to my fellow Nordic Brothers and Sisters and Lutheran pastors here in Toronto! And: THANK YOU to each of you for inviting me - and my family into your fellowship so we can now say we have a home in Toronto like we have a home in Denmark. 

All five of us have had great years here in Toronto - a life experience that will be a part of our story forever. 

Now it is time to say Goodbye - but also: "PÅ GENSYN," because we will surely come back and visit this church, city, and you, our friends."
